WRITTEN TEST: NO
GROUP DISCUSSION: YES
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Excel
  • Digital Marketing
INTERVIEW GUIDELINES
  • Tell me about yourself
  • Walk me through your CV
  • How many companies have you applied for and why weren't you selected in them
  • What hobbies do you have?
  • Why do you want to go in sales and marketing? Any prior experience
  • Do you think being a part of a startup is better than being a part of a well-established company? How?
  • Most of the questions apart from these would be based on your CV, your past internships (if any, although I didn't have any) and your co-curriculars (clubs you've joined in college, school and any competitions you've participated in).

A little brief about all the 3 profiles

1) Sales: The most important thing for this profile is how well you communicate, if you're good at convincing someone on the phone and if your voice is on the gentle and polite side rather than the rude and aggressive side. This profile mostly consists of you calling leads over the phone and insisting them to be a myHQ customer. This profile is decent for your CV, but it can help you in some companies for placements (like Exxon Mobil) which have a sales and marketing profile

2) Marketing: The basic skill required for this profile is creative writing. If you have some experience in social media marketing, that would be a great plus for you. Your day to day work won't be so glamorous though, it would be mostly answering questions on quora, posting links on Facebook and other social media platforms. Some of your monthly projects would be demanding and interesting though. Having a knowledge of terms like ""organic marketing"", ""organic lead funnel"", ""customer acquisition cost”, ""difference between organic and inorganic marketing"" would be a plus.

This profile will help you get jobs related to analytics (for e.g. United Airlines, The Smart Cube) and other analytics based companies

3) Operations: This profile is like a customer care job, you'll have to resolve issues in real time of existing customers over the phone. That's pretty much it. They look for someone who is patient, has good convincing skills and doesn't mind apologizing. Yes that does sound a little odd but it is true. A big company this profile can help you with is Amazon.
